Situation
In connection to its annual NIQ C360 Conference in Los Angeles, WSL partnered with the NIQ Beauty division to provide a Retail Safari® to immerse invited Beauty executives in innovative beauty and wellness retail.
WSL Process
WSL planned and facilitated the Retail Safari® in Los Angeles, taking Beauty executives to stores in the West Hollywood area.
WSL set the stage with How America Shops® data on emerging trends in beauty and wellness. We then took participants through different beauty & wellness experiences (grocery, outdoor mall, luxury, specialty boutiques, mainstream brand store). The Retail Safari® showcased how beauty and wellness are being delivered across different types of retailers and brands and identified trends and themes that visionary retailers and brands are executing in beauty & wellness.
WSL led the group and facilitated discussions to ensure the output was meaningful and inspirational for future growth strategy.
Impact
The Retail Safari® spark conversations between participants around the different ways beauty and wellness innovation is being executed in the LA market, and showcased best practices for shopper engagement.
It also created a more personal and intimate setting for NIQ to engage with clients and prospects.
“We just wanted to thank you again for hosting our Retail Safari® in LA. It got rave reviews from our clients, and you made it so simple and seamless for everyone. I know there is a ton of work that goes on behind the scenes, but you made it look so easy. We are truly grateful for your partnership.” — Anna Mayo, NIQ VP Beauty Vertical
“L’Oréal specifically said that the Safari was amazing and “expertly curated.” — John Busardo, NIQ SVP Beauty & Healthcare Vertical
“Our clients loved the safari ! Such a personal and relevant way to kick off the week! Thank you all for your hard work in preparation and execution!” — Tara James, NIQ SVP Global Beauty Vertical
